A Love Story at Cedar Creek Lodges

Some weddings just feel like the couple — and this one absolutely did. Held at the stunning Cedar Creek Lodges, this day was a beautiful reflection of a love story built on laughter, warmth, and a whole lot of heart.

The couple chose this lush, serene setting for a very special reason — it perfectly reflected the kind of relationship they share. Calm, grounding, and full of magic. And with everything in one place, it allowed them to relax and truly enjoy the day (just like they do in everyday life). Their chosen date made it even more meaningful — their third anniversary. A day already full of significance, now made even more unforgettable.

Their story began in the most 2020s way possible — a little swipe right on Tinder. With Mum lending a hand (yes, really!), fate stepped in. Their first date was at the Canungra pub on a cold winter's night, where good banter and warm hearts quickly melted the chill in the air. That evening sparked the beginning of something so special.

Love officially made its appearance during a date at a quirky arcade called Be Lucky N Sons. Amid flashing lights and games, Mitch looked at her with that look — you know the one — and said the words that changed everything. There, between tokens and laughter, love settled in.

And the proposal? Oh, it’s a good one. Mitch had planned a dreamy New Year's Eve birthday combo with dinner and fireworks at the Gold Coast… but Queensland weather had other ideas. A major storm rolled in, but instead of letting it ruin the day, they made the most of their newly renovated patio at home. Under the cover of rain and fairy lights, Mitch got down on one knee and asked her to spend forever with him. A perfectly imperfect moment, filled with love, laughter, and just a little bit of floodwater. Iconic.

This sneak peek is just a glimpse into a day that was honest, heartfelt, and bursting with joy. A celebration of not only where they’ve come from, but everything still to come.
