Final Wedding for the Year – Holly & Nathan | Frogmore Creek, Tasmania
There’s something about that last wedding of the year that always feels a little bit magic… and a little bit unhinged. Maybe it’s the exhaustion. Maybe it’s the adrenaline. Maybe it’s the 4:30am alarm for an early flight out of Brisbane on a Friday morning. Either way, Holly & Nathan absolutely delivered the perfect grand finale to 2025.
We touched down in Tasmania with big plans… and a weather forecast that politely said, “lol no.” Rain was on the menu all day, and for a hot minute it looked like our outdoor ceremony dreams at Frogmore were going to be well and truly foiled. But if there’s one thing weddings teach you, it’s this: you roll with it.
And roll with it we did.
Thanks to a later sunset and a later ceremony time, we had the biggest gift of all - time. We ducked in and out of rain breaks, chased pockets of soft light between the clouds, and somehow managed to still create absolute magic despite the sky having a dramatic little tantrum all afternoon.
Then, like a scene straight out of a movie…
The clouds stopped crying about 30 minutes before the ceremony.
The skies opened.
The light softened.
And Holly & Nathan got their outdoor ceremony after all.
Honestly - chef’s kiss. Perfection. Worth every soggy sock.
Holly was an actual vision (as expected), Nathan cleaned up very nicely and the love these two share is the kind that makes you forget about the weather entirely. So much laughter, so many happy tears, and the kind of energy that reminds you exactly why you do this job in the first place.
To Holly & Nathan - thank you so much for trusting us, for being absolute legends all day, and for putting up with my totally unhinged dribble from start to finish. You two made this one unforgettable, and I couldn’t think of a better way to close out the year.
P.S. Nathan… Do up that jacket button yeah.
Here’s to love, rain clouds that can’t make up their minds, and one hell of a final wedding for 2025.
Jess + Paul xx
