Totally worth the 5-hour round trip, even if we all nearly melted.

The ceremony spot under that giant tree? Absolute lifesaver. 10/10 shade. Would recommend. Got chatting to the owners of Mountview l Homestead , turns out it’s been in their family for over 150 years. The original house burned down three months after the great-grandfather bought it… talk about bad timing!

But they rebuilt, and honestly? The place is stunning. You can feel the history (and probably some friendly ghosts) in every corner.

And then came the sunset .. Golden hour really said you’re welcome.
