A Wedding Woven with Memory: Ashley & Scott’s Sentimental Celebration

Some weddings just hit you right in the heart — and today’s wedding was exactly that. A beautiful tapestry of family, memory, and meaning, Ashleigh and Scott’s day wasn’t just about two people saying “I do”; it was about keeping promises, honouring roots, and celebrating love in all its forms.

Ashley walked down the aisle wearing a ring unlike any other — a custom piece set with sapphires fossicked by Scott’s own family. Each stone a treasure, not just for its sparkle but for the story it carries. That same spirit of handcrafted love was reflected in her bouquet, lovingly made by Ashley and her nana. They spent hours together designing and creating the flowers, turning petals and wire into something so much more — a memory preserved in blooms.

And then there was Nana herself, standing beside Ashley as one of her bridesmaids — a moment promised many years ago when Ashley was just eight. True to her word, she kept that promise. Seeing her Nana there, hand in hand with Ashley, brought tears to more than a few eyes — including mine.

Ashley and Scott’s love story started when they met at work — good old Bunnings — and while everyone loves a sausage sizzle, it was a humble Subway sandwich shared in the car that started it all. It’s that kind of down-to-earth, genuine connection that made this wedding feel so warm and familiar. Every corner of the day was infused with love — not just between Ashley and Scott, but radiating from their families, their friends, and the quiet nods to all the memories they’ve made so far.

Today wasn’t just a wedding. It was a promise fulfilled, a bond deepened, and a celebration of love that’s rich with history and hope for the future.

Ashley and Scott — thank you for letting me witness your day. What a beautiful, emotional, unforgettable one it was.
