Amy & Anthony’s Wedding
Western Ridge had been on my photography wish list for ages. Amy and Anthony finally gave me an excuse to get there, and between the views and that beautiful barn, it absolutely delivered.
The wind also delivered. With considerable enthusiasm.
Hair and veils had their own plans, the temperature dropped, and everyone found themselves grateful for the shelter of the barn. Amy and Anthony took it all in their stride, laughing through the weather and enjoying their people. The movement made for some of my favourite photographs, too.
Their story started when Amy was visiting a friend and Anthony decided to demonstrate his scooter skills. Apparently, romance sometimes arrives in the form of a kickflip. Whether that was what won Amy over remains open to debate, but something clearly worked.
Photographing them together, you could see how comfortable they were with each other. The laughs came easily, and their connection carried through the whole celebration.
Amy and Anthony, thank you for having me along. Your wedding gave me a brilliant first visit to Western Ridge, windblown hair and all.
